Dr. Quresh Maskati

Dr. Quresh Maskati is a renowned ophthalmologist and a leading specialist in Boston keratoprosthesis. He completed his graduation and post-graduation from KEM Hospital, Bombay University, obtaining his M.S., D.O.M.S., and F.C.P.S. degrees, all in 1983, with a gold medal in DOMS. Dr. Maskati further specialized in diseases of the cornea and anterior segment microsurgery from prestigious institutions in Rochester and Boston, USA. He has over three decades of experience in ophthalmology and has been instrumental in advancing the field through his extensive work in keratoprosthesis and corneal transplantation​​​​.

Dr. Maskati has held several prestigious positions, including President of the All India Ophthalmological Society (2014-15) and the Maharashtra Ophthalmological Society (1994-95). He is the only ophthalmologist in Asia with extensive experience in both the Boston and Pintucci keratoprosthesis, having performed over 85 cases since 1997. His contributions to the field include over two dozen scientific publications in national and international journals and co-authoring chapters in 12 books on ophthalmology​.
